Hot Room Toledo

WHAT TO EXPECT

Most people that come to a class at The Hot Room Toledo Yoga have never done yoga before, so don’t feel intimidated. It’s just stretching done in a heated room!

A few hot tips to keep in mind when coming to your first class:

  1. Arrive early. When coming in for your first time, arrive PROMPTLY 15-20 minutes before the start of class so you can receive a First Time Student Orientation. During Orientation you will fill out some basic paperwork and become acquainted with the studio. Lastly, the teacher will explain what to do inside of the yoga room during your first class. We welcome those currently on medication, with recent injuries or chronic conditions — just please let us know before class so we know how to best help you.
  2. Follow the lead. When you enter the yoga room, the mirrors will be in the front of the room. For your first class, place your mat towards the middle or back of the room so you have examples in front of you.
  3. Bring a towel. Use one of your bath towels to put on top of your mat. This soaks up your sweat and provides some cushion when we start floor postures.
  4. Do the best you can. It is only yoga, and you are only human. The only thing we ask of you on your first visit is to stay in the room for the whole 90 minutes, allowing your body to start to acclimate to the heat.
